Job Description We’re seeking an experienced Return to Work Coordinator to join our team on a parental leave replacement basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a meaningful role where you’ll directly support injured team members through their recovery journey and help them successfully return to work. What makes this role special: Make a tangible difference in people’s recovery and wellbeing Collaborate with a supportive, values-driven team Work 0.6 FTE with flexible arrangements to suit your lifestyle Flexible office location arrangements What You’ll Do As our Return to Work Coordinator, you’ll be the vital link between injured team members, managers, medical professionals, and insurers. Your day-to-day will include: Claims Management: Support team members with workers compensation claims across all Australian jurisdictions, working closely with insurers and agents Return to Work Planning: Develop and implement early intervention return-to-work arrangements that prioritise recovery and sustainable outcomes Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with injured workers, managers, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, and insurance partners Case Coordination: Attend medical case conferences, coordinate occupational rehabilitation, and maintain regular communication with all parties Reporting & Compliance: Complete PIAWE calculations, maintain case notes, and provide regular reporting to leadership Education & Prevention: Train team members and leaders on injury management and promote the health benefits of good work Qualifications What You’ll Bring Essential: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Return to Work Coordinator Strong background in claims management (workers compensation insurer experience highly regarded) Solid understanding of workers compensation legislation across all Australian states State-based introductory Return to Work Coordinator course Excellent communication skills and natural empathy Strong time management and administrative capabilities Desirable: Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management (Return to Work) Healthcare qualifications (e.g., Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy) Understanding of medical terminology Key Performance Expectations Lodge claims within 24 hours of receipt Provide PIAWE calculations within one week of claim acceptance Maintain fortnightly contact with injured team members and stakeholders Achieve return to work rates equal to or above industry standards Additional Information If you are passionate about advancing health services through research, innovation, and strategic collaboration, we invite you to apply.
