The Returns Department Associate is responsible for processing, inspecting, and documenting customer returns in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures that returned items are evaluated for resale, repair, or disposal, while maintaining detailed records in accordance with company policies. The position also involves collaborating with customer service and warehouse teams to resolve return-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
This role will be based within the company warehouse and full training will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous office experience is essential
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Administrative experience with a focus on clerical duties preferred
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Experience in data entry with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing Returns: Receive, log, and inspect all returned merchandise according to company procedures.
  • Quality Checks: Verify returned products for condition, completeness, and compliance with return eligibility criteria.
  • System Updates: Accurately update inventory and return details.
  • Disposition Decisions: Determine next steps for returned items—restock/dispose
  • Collaboration: Work closely with customer service to resolve discrepancies or customer concerns.
  • Packaging & Restocking: Repackage eligible items for resale in compliance with quality standards.
  • Compliance: Follow safety and handling protocols, and adhere to company policies and deadlines.

DUTIES

  • Provide administrative support including data entry and clerical tasks
  • Manage phone communications with professionalism and courtesy
  • Maintain organised records and files, ensuring easy access to information
  • Utilise Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for documentation and presentations

  • Collaborate with team members to enhance office efficiency
