SDLMINORFERN ARE HIRING!

We are looking for a Returns Manager for our Head Office/ Distribution Centre.
If you are highly motivated, have experience with warranties and returns, then this could be the opportunity you have been looking for.
Each working week consists of 45 hours, made up of 5 x 8.5-hour days Monday to Friday. Between the hours of 7.30 and 6.00pm which includes an additional 5 hours on every alternate Saturday in accordance with the rota. You are entitled to a meal break of 30 minutes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the below:
· Oversee returns dept to assist them in returning lines in a timely manner.
· Be the central point of contact for all returns related enquiries.
· Run the 30-day stock report at the beginning of each month and distribute to the team.
· Understand and investigate where required, any rejected stock returns.
· Cross off any returns notes and log the details.
· Update GRN, Returns and Warranty Returns Query boards.
· Monitor log deletion requests from sales team.
· Weekly Trading logs open logs to be chased with relevant branches.
· Work with the branch managers and regional managers to ensure that all aspects of the returns process are being adhered to.
· Monitor and action stock issues logged on the Issues Board with the Purchasing Manager.
· Develop a multi skilled team that can cover all areas of the returns department.
· Log Old Core returns.
· Assist the Purchasing Manager with the call back of cleanses and supersessions and ensure these are completed in a timely manner.
· Investigate all rejected stock returns from suppliers.
· Monitor return rates and report any abnormal quantity of returns in a short time frame (e.g., 6 in 3 months when only used to seeing 1 every 6 months etc.)
· Work closely with purchasing manager to ensure all supplier returns details are kept up to date and all logon codes for relevant supplier’s websites are known.
· All aspects of time management for the team.
· Aim to continually improve the team and the offering to the business to achieve the goals of the department and the business.
· Ensure all work areas are clear and tidy.
· Ensure the team are provided with the correct uniform (safety boots, Hi-Viz etc).
· Any other reasonable duties relating to returns as requested by senior management team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

All of the following requirements are essential, unless marked with a * indicating that they are desirable.
· A good standard of general education including numerical and literacy skills
· Good understanding of Microsoft Excel is preferred*
· An excellent team player with the desire to succeed.
· Adequate physical fitness, as this can be an intensely physical role involving heavy lifting and around 12,000 steps a day walking around.
· Good communication skills.
· A person who can pay careful attention to the job & follow instructions precisely.

· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to cope with pressure and maintain a calm manner at all times

· Warehouse/returns experience within the motor factor industry*

Pay: £29,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
