Job Title: Revenue Cycle Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Revenue Cycle Clerk plays a critical role in the Revenue Cycle Department, providing essential analytical and decision support to optimize revenue management. This position requires a strong background in healthcare insurance processes, bookkeeping, and experience working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of billing, collections, denial management, and revenue cycle analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective payment variance oversight.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting is required.
  • Proven experience in healthcare insurance billing, collections, and denial management.
  • Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience working in a healthcare revenue cycle department.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and insurance policies.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical support and decision-making assistance to the revenue management team.
  • Monitor and oversee payment variances, preparing detailed reports for the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team.
  • Perform detailed revenue cycle analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Manage and resolve billing and collection issues, including denial management and appeals.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate billing, collections, and documentation within EMR systems.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records related to revenue cycle transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare insurance regulations and policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts related to revenue cycle performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the revenue cycle processes.
