Position Summary: The Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) is responsible for the revenue cycle performance and financial outcomes of assigned PBS clients, including charges, revenue, and AR. This position manages the Accounts Receivable processes, metrics, and staff efforts. The RCM oversees the Account Resolution staff and their functions, performance, and assigns clients to ensure the highest levels of success. Manage Account Resolution staff to ensure efficient, effective work and achieve revenue goals for assigned clients. Accountable for all aspects of revenue cycle performance of multiple clients. Use defined PBS Client Metrics and reporting tools to measure and monitor the overall day-to-day operations of assigned internal and outsourced teams to ensure performance goals are met daily, weekly, and monthly. Proactively identify issues and recommend solutions for client and/or operational improvement. Conduct monthly team and individual staff meetings. Audit staff’s work to ensure efficiency and productivity. Monitor pre- and post-charges areas in software to ensure charges are billed and followed up on time. Run approved write-off adjustments. Create new insurance plans in software. Supply team assignments regularly and provide ongoing training for staff. Perform employee evaluations and handle management support tasks such as hiring, terminations, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and job changes for business teams. Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and provide them to staff. Communicate with clients and vendors as needed. Manage staff portal/hospital access requests. Handle collection agency settlements. Respond to account resolution requests/patient escalations on time. Produce and analyze a multitude of reports related to account resolution including but not limited to: Revenue KPI Goals; Charge KPI Goals; AR aging and AR+ 120; AR Days; Denial /Rejection Management Participate in the implementation process for the onboarding of new business. Maintain appropriate internal controls over the revenue cycle management process. Proactively maintain and improve service performance levels, work across the organization to resolve issues, escalate revenue recovery efforts, provide timely feedback to the internal team and clients, raise customer satisfaction levels, and incorporate service gaps and lessons learned into workflows. Participate in projects to reduce costs and increase performance, including outsourcing initiatives. Partner with multiple levels of management and departments to maximize the efficiency of the billing process, including charge workflows, claims accuracy, and incoming revenue. Investigate and resolve escalated billing concerns from team members or clients. Adhere to and uphold all applicable federal and state regulations, compliance policies and procedures, and applicable healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse laws. Lead meetings to drive change and clearly communicate the progress of initiatives to external and internal stakeholders. Respond to client requests related to operational needs or performance, including investigating operational issues, patient account escalations, and reporting. Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Revenue Cycle Development or Executive Team. Travel Some travel is expected for this position based on business needs. Job Type: Full-time Qualifications Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED diploma 5 + years of health care revenue cycle management experience. 3+ years of experience managing teams/labor. Experience in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in a leadership position.
