The daily tasks and responsibilities outlined below are subject to change with short notice as needs and processes change, and the ideal candidate will need to have the ability to pivot with a good attitude. A successful candidate must also be organized and structured, detail-oriented, and demonstrate effective communication skills to provide our patients and team with a dazzling experience. Essential Functions: Daily insurance claim scrubbing and submission for multiple providers and locations. Actively work insurance rejections, denials, and no pays; report any trends to manager. Post insurance and patient payments in a timely manner. Work accounts receivables to ensure timely payments from insurance and/or patients. Efficiently use multiple systems and insurance payer websites/portals. Send accurate patient statements, letters, and calls; refer to outside collection agency as needed. Communicate effectively with patients that have questions about their statements or collections. Maintain detailed knowledge of revenue cycle functions and metrics. Work closely with all departments and team members to achieve goals. Assist with special projects and other assignments delegated by management. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Desired Medical Billing and Coding Certification Experience/Skills/Other Requirements Required: Medical Billing Experience Ability to work in a professional, positive and pleasant way with other Team members Excellent communication skills Ability to adapt to change React calmly and effectively in stressful situations Desired: Progressive medical billing experience ICD-10: 4+ Years Detailed knowledge of revenue cycle functions and metrics Experience in larger practices with multiple locations and specialties
Responsibilities
