Department Patient Registration Job Summary Responsible for the orientation and development of identified team members in various roles within the Revenue Cycle department. In collaboration with leaders and team members, is responsible for assessing current educational needs, developing materials, and facilitating education. This includes new hire training, ongoing education, and specialized training on specific topics. The Trainer will work closely with the Revenue Cycle Educator to ensure that all training meets the needs of the organization and its goals. Rounds frequently identified Revenue Cycle departments to build relationships with staff and offer support as needed. Special projects as assigned by leadership. Required Qualifications - Require a minimum of (3) years of experience in a healthcare or related field. - Require Certified Health Access Associate (CHAA) and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certifications; or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. - Require an associate degree or relevant work experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the required degree. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer demonstrated effective communication/interpersonal skills. - Prefer the ability to be tactful, diplomatic and to handle any situation with professionalism. - Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. - Prefer experience in development and training of revenue cycle functions. - Prefer demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to handle difficult customers and situations. - Prefer a knowledge ofICD-10 coding and CPT coding.
