Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor, process and deliver effective debt recovery for Council, including administering pensioner rebate applications, Council certificates, notice of sale information, change of addresses and payment arrangements.
  • Provide advice to the community by researching, analysing, and evaluating rating issues and legislation to develop solutions that drive organisational performance.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, including the Valuer General, Property NSW and provide support through an understanding of policy and procedures and resolve technical issues relating to revenue services.
  • Prepare and process documentation and reports associated with revenue in accordance with legislative requirements, policy and procedures.
  • Assist in raising of Annual Levy, Supplementary Land Valuations, Permissible Workpapers, Re-Valuation of Land as directed by the Revenue Coordinator.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and services provided by the role and team to ensure the effective, efficient and safe delivery of objectives
Responsibilities

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE IS TO BE A PRO-ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE TEAM, TO PROVIDE A HIGH LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY AND CONTROL THE RECOVERY OF OUTSTANDING DEBT. TO ENSURE THE RATES, WATER, SUNDRY DEBTORS OF COUNCIL ARE IN LINE WITH THE COUNCIL’S DELIVERY AND OPERATIONAL PLANS AS WELL AS LEGISLATION.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Full time: 70-hour fortnight
Salary: Range from $70,179 to $80,704 pa + 12% super
