Revit Designer/Manager – Electrical Engineering
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, skilled, and experienced Revit Designer/Manager to join our Electrical Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience producing high-quality electrical drawings and 3D models, with a strong understanding of BIM workflows, drafting standards, and coordination processes within multidisciplinary projects.
e2 Engineering Inc. is an electrical engineering consulting firm located in the heart of Victoria and a secondary office in Nanaimo serving clients with integrity, excellence, and initiative. We are primarily seeking a candidate to help serve our Victoria office location. We provide electrical design services for new and existing residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings throughout Vancouver Island.
Job Type – Full-time, Permanent, local candidates only, applicants who reside outside Vancouver Island will not be considered
Benefits – Employees are eligible for enrollment in our company benefits package following successful completion of a three-month probationary period.
Schedule – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Electrical Technology, Engineering Drafting Technology, Architectural or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within an electrical engineering environment.
  • Skillful in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD; must have experience with BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Deep experience in setting up and coordinating a BIM Protocol and Execution Plan.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components used in building design.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D Revit models and project model setup for electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, data/communications, and controls.
  • Create, modify, and maintain Revit families and templates specific to electrical components and systems.
  • Coordinate electrical models with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration and resolve clashes.
  • Link architectural and structural models for electrical systems modelling.
  • Prepare accurate construction documents, including plans, details, schedules, and layouts for permit and tender submissions.
  • Interpret sketches, markups, and design intent from engineers to produce precise CAD/Revit documentation.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project and company standards.
  • Manage Revit and CAD files, including proper file organization, version control, and collaboration workflows.
