EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of radio testing and troubleshooting experience in a commercial wireless and/or 2 way radio environment
• Extensive knowledge of RF technology and/or networking
• Formal telecommunication education as asset

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (essential safety requirement)
• A valid Canadian driver’s license and good driving record is required for any employee selected to drive a company vehicle – a current driver’s abstract is required
• Due to the nature of specific job sites and/or client security regulations, a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check will be required upon commencing employment
• Willingness and ability to work various hours and shifts, including overtime and days, nights and occasional weekends as dictated by the specific project
• Willingness and ability to travel to out-of-town project sites
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift materials upwards of 50+ lbs
• Able and willing to work in inclement weather conditions where required
• Able to work at heights - on ladders, building roof tops, etc. as required
• Physical and visual acuity to perform mechanical tasks
• Able to bend, sit, squat, kneel, stretch and stand at different intervals daily

• Essential experience is required for use, understanding and analytics of the following:
• PIM (Passive Inter-Modulation) testing and troubleshooting
• Radio coax cable plant sweep testing and troubleshooting
• Spectrum analyzer testing and troubleshooting
• Proficiently perform all radio, network and power plant equipment installations
• Proficiently perform equipment cabling, splitter and antenna installations
• Assist with structured cabling installations
• Assist with fibre optic installations
