Job Description

Designs, plans, and oversees testing of new and existing RF passive components and cable assemblies.
- Use Electrical, RF and thermal test equipment in support of design validation.
- Translate customer specifications into design, manufacturing, quality, and testing requirements.
- Utilize Thermal, EM and FEA simulation software in support of new product development.
- Prepare technical proposals, and presentations as required to support customers, sales representatives and lead design reviews
- Interface with suppliers to evaluate component specification and new materials
- Participate in the development of product and technology roadmaps, in support of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support cross functional design reviews including requirements definition, manufacturability assessments, and application of GD&T.
- Coordinate with on-site manufacturing and quality engineers to facilitate initial build and prototyping of products developed by regional project teams
- Propose enhancements to new and existing product designs to optimize manufacturability.
- Ability to perform root cause analyses utilizing established problem solving tools and methodologies
- Proactively identify project risks and mitigation plans to accelerate the development cycle and ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Provide technical support to organizational stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing and Sales.
- Participate in and contribute to team training, development, mentoring, on-boarding and audits
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Master’s degree with focus on RF/microwave concepts a plus.
- 5 years of related experience.
- Must have a mature understanding of RF& Microwave Theories.
- Proficiency in key RF test equipment such as network analyzers
- Proficiency in 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation and linear circuit analysis. HFSS, AWR preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD including 3D solid modeling. AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred.
- Familiarity with military and industry standards and other relevant specifications.
- Familiarity with mechanical and finite element analysis.
- Ability to analyze complex problems using data-driven approach and define solutions.
- Able to clearly communicate and discuss technical concepts in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of thin and/or thick film process technology a plus.
- Knowledge of RF, digital, fiber optics, and power interconnects a plus.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
