Description
Responsibilities include determining design approaches and parameters, analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests, and evaluating results. Responsible for performing professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of electrical and electro-mechanical systems and subsystems. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering design team—including electrical, mechanical, software, process, technical support, and suppliers—on the design and modification of custom and OEM embedded systems components. Prepare and analyze test plans and procedures to ensure technical and operational requirements are met and properly demonstrated. Collect and analyze pertinent material and data in preparation of data for presentation at design, project, and program reviews. Primarily responsible for the design, selection, testing, and documentation of RF delivery systems (100kHz to 100MHz; Watt to KiloWatt ranges). Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of related work experience; master's degree with 8 years of experience; PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent experience. Must have experience with complex RF measurement equipment (Power Meters, Network-, Impedance- and Spectrum Analyzers, etc.). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to drive functional requirements and execute in a dynamic-teams environment. Ability to drive functional requirements and execute effectively in dynamic, cross-functional team environments. Familiarity with high-voltage design rules and practices (>1 kV) from DC to 100 MHz is also desired. Experience with SPICE, LabVIEW, MathCAD, MATLAB, and analysis tools such as HFSS, COMSOL, or Microwave Studio is preferred. Experience in, or foundational knowledge of, plasma processing, plasma sources, and plasma loads is a plus.
