Description
At Alpine Eagle, we’re building the future of counter-drone defence. We’re a fast-growing, international deep-tech company working at the intersection of aerospace engineering, defence systems, and machine learning. Our goal: create the world’s first swarm-based, airborne counter-drone system. Modern conflicts show how quickly drones are reshaping the battlefield. Threats are rising, and today’s solutions aren’t keeping pace. We’re here to change that. Alpine Eagle isn’t just a defence company. It’s a mission. Backed by an international team, strong funding, and a bold vision, we’re looking for people who want to shape the next generation of aerial security and build something that truly matters. 🎯 How you will make an impact: Design, optimize, and operate RF communication links for airborne and ground segments (C2, telemetry, payload data), including deconfliction and EW scenarios. Own end-to-end link budgets and performance analysis (EIRP, SNR, Losses Eb/Eno) Integrate and maintain RF communication links into existing IP networks to enable transparent operation with high quality of service(QOS). Define and integrate RF modules for passive RF-based detection and localization of drones. Support antenna/RF integration on airborne platforms (placement, cabling, radome effects, isolation, EMC considerations). Drive the company’s RF engineering abilities, perform end-to-end tests in the laboratory, and on our field test sites. ✅ What you need to be successful: Solid fundamentals in RF, wireless communication, and the OSI model. Practical experience in delivering high-performance real-world wireless communication applications, including link budget management and modeling. Experience with design and integration of radio location systems. Hands-on debugging mindset with common RF lab tools (spectrum analyzer/VSA, VNA, power meter, etc.). Practical experience in EMC/EMI, ideally in a military context. Ideally, knowledge in Python to automate analysis and configuration tasks. Proactive and organized team player. Valid work permit (citizenship or visa) for Germany. Willingness to work in our lab on-site. At Alpine Eagle, we are committed to diversity and equal opportunity. We welcome applications from all individuals regardless of ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, or sexual identity. Apply now!
Responsibilities
