Imagine a universe of all high-tech engineering competencies under one roof. Imagine more than a thousand engineers, working as a united team on a special medical product. A product that changes people’s lives for the better. Now, stop imagining and enter our world - the Demant universe.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you to hold an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering and that you have some years of experience within integration of Bluetooth radios or other RF technologies. You will be required to work within your own technical area and at the same time maintain an overview, enabling you to see a broader perspective. To become effective in the position, you shall be able to tick off most of the areas below:

  • Well-founded general theoretical knowledge about microwave RF design
  • Experience in designing systems that include multiple devices and radios. Being able to understand your part’s contribution to the system performance and user experience
  • Experience in making system, circuit, or EM simulations
  • Experience in practical RF-lab work: E.g., using a network or spectrum analyzer, verifying specific radio performance parameters Rx/Tx performance, frequency synthesis, impedance matching techniques etc. If you are familiar with Bluetooth Low Energy, it will be beneficial
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements maybe also for medical equipment
  • The work is carried out in teams according to agile principles. If you do not have earlier experience with this work mode, you should have an interest in learning.

Furthermore, you are a team player and appreciate working in an international environment where two days are rarely alike. You show a high level of engagement to ensuring your tasks are in progress and you take a methodical and systematic approach to complex problem solving. You know how to work according to established quality processes and have a good documentation practice. As we are a medical device regulated company, obeying standard procedures for carrying out development work and verification, is a given.

Responsibilities
  • To integrate ICs and other key components onto PCBs with size, tough requirements, and RF performance in mind
  • To evaluate the performance of the system and be proactive in improving the system performance even more
  • To verify electrical performance against tough requirements, e.g., transmit power, receiver sensitivity, signal integrity, wireless link quality etc. in relevant use cases. On top, there’s several regulatory requirements to adhere to
  • Participate in cost saving and maintenance tasks for in-market products
  • To document individual tasks by means of e.g., design specifications, test specifications, and measurement reports and contribute to the knowledge sharing, writing lessons learned and best practice documents, when relevant
  • To support the prototype builds including electrical test specification
