Our client is a leading Canadian company. We are seeking an experienced RF Test Technician to join their growing team.
The RF Test Technician is responsible for the tuning and testing of high-reliability RF/microwave power amplifiers, ensuring that the procedures in use guarantee quality, reliability, repeatability, and efficiency of all products in production.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Community College Graduate (3 Yr Electronics Technologist/Technician Program) or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ previous experience with tuning solid state power amplifiers.
  • Knowledge of Microwave and RF circuits is required
  • Previous experience hand soldering surface mount components is required.
  • Enthusiastic, detail and solution oriented, task focused, self motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving of Analog and Digital circuits is an asset
  • A strong mechanical aptitude would also be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Agilent VEE Pro is an asset
Responsibilities
  • Assemble, test and troubleshoot prototype circuits, RF amplifiers and mechanical parts
  • Perform tests and evaluations of electrical systems or prototypes
  • Prepare test data for engineering review
  • Troubleshoot and replace electrical circuitry
  • Tuning of solid state power amplifiers
