YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, majoring in electronics/ communications/RF or similar
• 5+ years of relevant technical and team lead experience
• Proven ability to apply fundamental RF knowledge including cascaded device analysis, link analysis, modulation and coding schemes, etc, to the design and development of real-world RF systems
• Proven ability in verification and validation including development of test plans, setups and procedures for complex RF systems, and experience with component, sub-system and system level testing
• Extensive experience operating RF test equipment including VNAs and spectrum analyzers
• Experience applying best practice systems engineering process and developing associated documentation such as requirements specifications, design documents and/or test plans
• Knowledge of IP networking
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

The RF Team Lead – Ground Segment is responsible for leading a small team of engineers and technicians and is responsible for the design, development, verification, maintenance and operational support of the ground-based elements of the RF communications and navigation systems used to support Rocket Lab’s launch vehicles and satellites.
