JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Receive incoming calls and meet with clients who attend the office
• Obtain and exchange information with clients, underwriters and co-workers while acting within the boundaries of the Privacy Act
• Clearly explain coverage and limits to clients, discuss products to address needs and gaps in coverage
• Develop existing accounts by upselling current coverage and rounding accounts
• Write new business from referral and call in’s
• Clearly explain our Claims Procedure and assist the client throughout their claim, as required
• Calculate premiums and mid-term premium changes
• Receive payments and follow up on Receivables
• Resolve issues regarding client premiums, account reconciliation and other issues as they arise
• Maintain professional demeanor when handling complaints, solving problems or interpreting/resolving conflicts with clients and co-workers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• RIBO License is required
• Minimum 2-3 years of insurance experience
• EPIC experience is an asset
• High level of computer application skills, including Excel and Word
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• High level of personal insurance product knowledge
• Team player with strong work ethic and positive attitude
• CAIB or CIP designation (or working towards) would be an asset
