Short description of the position:
Eurac Research is looking for a motivated Post-doc/Senior Researcher with a background in economics and finance to join the URS Group. Contributing to projects that drive the clean energy transition, this role offers a unique chance to contribute to groundbreaking research and innovation. Enhancing her/his knowledge in the-above mentioned fields, the successful candidate will play a key role in international research and industry projects.

Tasks:

• Modelling of energy markets, particularly the power market;
• Support basic financial analysis related to clean energy investments;
• Organizing and conducting project meetings, workshops and conferences;
• Contribute to communication, information and dissemination tasks within the projects.

Requirements:

• Background in one of following disciplines: economics, finance, and/or statistics;
• Programming skills, especially in Python, with previous experience in AI-based frameworks is an advantage;
• Familiarity with energy markets is an advantage;
• Good oral and written communication skills;
• Skills on interpersonal relationships and teamwork;
• Motivation to learn and capacity to work in group and with autonomy;
• Good command of English (reading, writing and speaking);
• Knowledge of German and/or Italian is an advantage;
