Description The Rides Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of all amusement park attractions within the park. This role involves managing amusement park ride operations, supervising ride operators, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Rides Manager will work closely with the Operations and Safety teams to deliver an exceptional and safe experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ride Operations Management: Oversee the daily operation of all amusement park attractions, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to enhance ride performance and guest satisfaction. Coordinate with amusement park ride operators to ensure proper handling of equipment and adherence to operational guidelines. 2. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all amusement park rides meet safety standards and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits of ride equipment and systems to identify and address potential safety issues. Implement and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures for amusement park ride operations. 3. Staff Supervision and Training: Recruit, train, and supervise ride operators, ensuring they are knowledgeable and competent in their roles. Develop and conduct ongoing training programs to keep staff updated on safety procedures, operational changes, and customer service best practices. Provide support and coaching to staff, addressing performance issues and fostering a positive work environment. 4. Maintenance and Repairs: Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs of ride equipment. Address and resolve any technical or mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status. 5. Guest Experience: Monitor guest feedback and address any concerns or issues related to ride experiences. Ensure that all rides operate in a way that maximizes guest enjoyment while maintaining high safety standards. Work with the Guest Services team to resolve any ride-related complaints or incidents. 6. Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the budget for amusement park operations, including staffing, maintenance, and equipment costs. Optimize resource allocation and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety. Prepare and present reports on ride performance, maintenance activities, and budget expenditures. 7. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Safety, and Marketing, to coordinate park-wide initiatives and events. Communicate effectively with park management and staff to ensure alignment on operational goals and standards. Requirements Relevant certifications in amusement park ride safety or maintenance are a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in ride operations or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong knowledge of ride equipment, safety regulations, and maintenance practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle technical and operational challenges. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
