Rides Mechanical Leading Hand $52.95 per hour |Full Time Sea World, Main Beach, Gold Coast The Opportunity Join a team that keeps the rides and attractions running safely and smoothly behind the scenes at Village Roadshow Theme Parks. As a Rides Mechanical Leading Hand, you’ll support the supervision of the Maintenance team while providing hands-on technical expertise across rides, attractions, plant, and equipment. You’ll play a key role in keeping systems running reliably, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. From supporting daily maintenance activities to coordinating repairs and administration, you’ll help keep operations on track and everything ready for the day ahead. Key Responsibilities Behind every safe and reliable ride is a team keeping everything on track. You’ll be: •  Ensuring Tradespersons are scheduled to complete tasks and department is running to maximize efficiency •  Ensuring general training requirements and ride competencies are maintained and up to date across the team •  Organizing the shift roster to ensure suitable coverage •  Organizing inspections and maintenance and coordinating repairs •  Actively looking for ways to improve current processes and procedures •  Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe manner •  Overseeing minimum stock levels for rides, attractions and equipment •  Raising purchase requisitions and goods receipt purchase orders What We’re Looking For A hands-on, motivated team member who enjoys solving problems and keeping things running safely and efficiently. You’ll bring: •  A current Rides Mechanical Tradesperson within the company •  Cert III Mechanical Trades certification •  Previous experience in the supervision of staff •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills •  Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics •  Strong safety focus and sound understanding of OH&S requirements •  Strong focus on Quality Control •  Demonstrated high level of initiative, self-motivation and have the ability to work under minimal supervision •  EWP and forklift licenses would be beneficial •  Knowledge of SAP and Mobaro is highly desirable •  Available to work on a rotating roster, including day shift, weekend (subject to any future changes). •  Able to climb ladders and stairs and be comfortable working at heights
