Description Reports to: Operations Manager DEPT: Operations- Rides, Park Services, & Aquatics POSITION SUMMARY: The Rides Supervisor supports the Full-Time Operations Supervisor in the daily management of the Rides Department and plays a key leadership role in ensuring safe, efficient, and guest-focused attraction operations. This position primarily oversees team member performance, facilitates smooth and consistent ride operations, and upholds the highest standards of safety, accessibility, and guest satisfaction within their designated area. The Rides Supervisor serves as an on-shift leader, resource, and problem solver for both team members and guests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist the Full-Time Operations Supervisor with daily operational oversight of all rides and attractions. Monitor team member performance, provide real-time coaching, and reinforce proper ride procedures and guest service expectations. Ensure all rides operate safely and consistently in accordance with park policies, manufacturer guidelines, and IROC standards. Conduct routine ride checks and verify that safety inspections, operational logs, and required documentation are completed accurately and on time. Serve as a point of escalation for operational challenges, guest concerns, and safety issues, resolving matters promptly and professionally. Support training efforts by helping onboard new team members and reinforcing ongoing operational, safety, and emergency procedures. Communicate operational updates, staffing changes, and safety alerts clearly to Ride Operators, Ride Hosts, and other supervisors. Lead daily shift assignments, coordinate breaks, and ensure sufficient staffing across all ride positions. Maintain ride areas, queue lines, and load/unload zones to ensure cleanliness, organization, and accessibility. Collaborate with management, maintenance, and other park departments to ensure smooth daily operations and timely issue resolution. Other duties as assigned. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in ride operations, attractions leadership, or guest service supervision required. Strong understanding of ride procedures, safety protocols, and IROC standards. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including coaching, mentoring, and team direction. Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support guests of all abilities. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to respond effectively in fast-paced or emergency situations. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain professionalism across diverse operational scenarios. Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must complete all required supervisor training and maintain any necessary certifications.
