    POSITION TITLE:             Rigger                     JOB CODE:                   RGGR DIVISION:                             Onshore/Offshore/International REPORTS TO:                    Foreman/Supervisor/Superintendent FLSA STATUS:                  Non-Exempt UPDATED DATE:               June 23, 2022 DEPARTMENT:                  Onshore/Offshore/International POSITION SUMMARY The Rigger is responsible for aiding employees or clients in loading material, equipment and supplies in a safe manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (This is a representative list of the duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive.) * Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving using hand and power tools * Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures using appropriate bolts and clamps * Control the movement of heavy equipment or material through narrow openings or confined spaces * Manipulate rigging lines, hoists and pulling gear to move or support equipment or materials * Signal or verbally direct individuals engaged in hoisting and moving loads * Test rigging equipment routinely  * Assist welders or fitters in grinding, leveling and preparing materials to be installed * Perform fire watch when required * Maintain clean working areas and practice good housekeeping * Dismantle, clean and return tools and equipment to proper place after use * Obey and follow all safety rules and policies * Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE) * Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS  * High School diploma or equivalent education * 1+ year rigging experience preferred * Basic level written and communication skills * Ability to preform basic level mathematical skills * Experience operating equipment used in rigging procedures * Must be reliable and have good time management skills * For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen * For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services   PHYSICAL DEMANDS * Stand – Frequently * Sit – Occasionally * Use Hands – Frequently * Climb – Occasionally * Kneel – Occasionally * Lift/Carry over – Frequently (up to 50 lbs.) * Vision – Required (Must be able to pass vision exam per appropriate medical requirements) * Hearing – Required (Must be able to pass an audio test per OSHA standards)   WORKING CONDITIONS * Wet or Humid (non-weather) – Occasionally * Working near moving mechanical parts – Frequently * Working in high places – Occasionally * Exposed to fumes or airborne particles – Frequently * Exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals – None * Outdoor weather conditions – Frequently * Risk of electric shock – Occasionally * Work with explosives – None * Risk of radiation – Occasionally * Noise Level – Very Loud
