Job Description Navantia UK is expanding our team in Arnish, and we’re looking for skilled Riggers to support safe, efficient, and high‑quality heavy lifting operations. If you’re experienced, safety‑driven, and ready to contribute to major engineering and fabrication projects, we’d like to hear from you. What you’ll be doing In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of rigging operations, including: Attachment of loads of equipment to structures or cranes through cables, clamps, chains, and shackles. Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved. Setting, aligning, and levelling heavy equipment machinery. Selecting the appropriate rigging gear. Preparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts. Inspecting rigging before final use. Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment. Manoeuvring loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand. Ensuring compliance with state and company safety procedures. Communicating with the rigging and construction team. Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections. Always ensure compliance with company safety procedures Keeping the work area tidy throughout and after job completion Qualifications NVQ Level 3 – Moving Engineering Loads or equivalent Knowledge & understanding of LOLER 98 In depth knowledge of rigging equipment Ability to work at heights Key Interpersonal/Behavioural Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines Build good working relationships Additional Information The Package: Competitive base salary Company pension 31 days holiday (pro rata) Life Assurance L&D opportunities We are an Opening Doors employer, committed to equal opportunity and an inclusive workplace.
