We are currently recruiting a Rigger to join our fast-paced, challenging projects shaping the Metro Vancouver. Wage Negotiable, depending on experience Benefits Employer-paid health, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family Life insurance Travel insurance RRSP matching up to 4% of regular earnings Year-round, full-time work Opportunities for advancement—wage increases and promotions regularly extended to those who take initiative, work hard, and take pride in producing quality work Duties/Responsibilities Follow safe work procedures to assist the tower crane operator with lifting, lowering, or moving materials and loads Understand lifting and load-bearing capacities of the tower crane Secure loads with suitable lifting equipment Communicate with operator via two-way radio and/or hand signals Signal and direct trucks for loading and offloading Inspect rigging equipment Rig in decks and fly tables Inspect crane and calculate capacities Fly tables Assemble and dismantle Perform repairs and maintenance Working Conditions Overtime after 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week Double time after 12 hours/day Overtime and weekend work as required One ½-hour unpaid lunch break per day Working at heights Competencies Ability to work well in a team and independently Positive attitude toward safety Punctual and reliable Self-motivated Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined, and physically fit Requirements 2–4 years of tower crane rigging experience Journeyman Tower Crane Operator Certificate or provincial equivalent (asset) Rigging ticket (asset) Fall Protection ticket (required) CSTS and WHMIS (asset) Only applicants eligible to work in Canada will be considered We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
