Description We are seeking a detail oriented and highly organized RIP Technician to join our dynamic team. The Digital RIP Technician is responsible for ensuring that all jobs to be printed in Digital Production are prioritized to meet the goals of the Production Schedule. This position performs tasks that ensure the smooth flow of work through the digital department. This includes establishing and adjusting priorities based on the direction given by the Production Manager or shift Supervisor such as facilitating hot rushes or changes in print priorities. Incumbent is responsible for ensuring quality jobs are produced and errors are not passed along to other departments. Requirements Maintain strong communication with Prepress teams and Management. RIP all files for Digital presses based on production priorities and quality assurance. Maintain a daily schedule of printed orders according to the production schedule. Maintaining production priorities and track and facilitate all hot rush jobs. Stage work for all presses and prioritize workflows that ensure all presses are printing the right work. Knowledgeable of commercial digital press operations Running color management or prepress applications such as Illustrator or Adobe Highly organized, with strong attention to detail, and results driven. Ability to communicate (Read, speak, write, understand) in English Available for weekend work shifts & overtime as needed Ability to read and understand the production order and production schedule.
Responsibilities
The RIP Technician ensures all digital production jobs are prioritized according to the Production Schedule, adjusting priorities as directed by management to facilitate smooth workflow.
