JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Group Manager, Counterparty Credit Risk, the Risk Analyst plays a pivotal role in building and supporting credit analytics capabilities across the Bank. This role demands a mix of capital markets knowledge, analytical rigor, and communication skills to support risk strategy, trading decisions, and ongoing regulatory initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–3 years of capital markets experience, primarily in counterparty credit risk.
  • Knowledge of OTC derivatives and securities financing transactions (SFTs).
  • Familiarity with Basel III, FINRA Rule 4210, and other regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical background and ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • Experience in data processing and MIS applications.
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a quantitative field (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and professional confidence.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • CFA or FRM designation (or actively working toward certification).

Responsibilities
  • Build deep understanding of derivative and financing businesses supported by Market Risk & Counterparty Analytics.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Front Office and Credit Management for trading of new and existing products.
  • Review daily counterparty credit risk exposures and investigate anomalies.
  • Conduct daily analysis of potential future exposure (PFE) and capital measures.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to strategic firm-wide initiatives.
  • Perform data mining and risk reporting to fulfill internal and external requests.
  • Assess and monitor Counterparty Credit Wrong Way Risk per internal policies.
  • Highlight risk concentrations across business lines and provide stress commentary.
  • Partner with Trading, Technology, Finance, Model Development, and Credit Management.
  • Act as SME for Counterparty Credit Risk Systems.
  • Track evolving regulations related to risk reporting and capital.
  • Support model implementation and enhancements for risk analytics.
  • Continuously improve risk methodologies and data analysis practices.
