Description
As a Risk Analyst in Model Risk Management, you’ll help strengthen how we identify, understand, and manage the risks linked to the models used across the Society. You’ll work on a varied mix of analysis, reporting, and control activity, building clear risk reporting, maintaining helpful guidance and intranet content, and monitoring key metrics that show how effectively our control environment is working. You’ll also carry out independent reviews working with teams across the business to confirm that our framework and control requirements are being applied consistently. Through your insight and constructive challenge, you’ll help us continue to embed good practice and support compliance with new regulatory expectations.   This role sits within our Risk Function, which helps the Society deliver its strategy in a safe and sustainable way for current and future members. We provide expert insight and thoughtful challenge, so decisions are well-informed and risks are understood, managed, and communicated clearly.   Model Risk Management continues to grow in prominence, reflecting our commitment to strengthening model governance and investing in the capability, standards, and oversight that support responsible decision-making across the Society.   At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK-wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.   For this job, you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part-time, you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at our Swindon office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here. Responsibilities
You will identify, manage, and report on risks associated with models used across the organization. Additionally, you will conduct independent reviews and monitor key metrics to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations and internal control requirements.
