RISK ANALYST:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Risk Analyst for a 2-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

RISK ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Analyst will focus on analysis, reporting, and monitoring of risk exposures to ensure compliance with established policy limits. The role involves executing infrastructure changes related to new or revised policies and requires close collaboration with various departments to support risk management decisions.

RISK ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Strong knowledge of financial products and counterparty credit risk
• Experience with complex systems
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Self-starter with initiative and adaptability
• Strong organizational and priority-setting skills

RISK ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience in Risk Management roles
• CFA and/or FRM designations
• Technical skills (Excel/SQL/VBA/Python)

• Generate and submit accurate reports on exposures as per guidelines
• Measure, aggregate, and analyze risks within portfolios
• Monitor risk exposures and adhere to internal standards for reporting issues
• Propose and manage projects to improve business support efficiencies
• Execute infrastructure changes for new or revised policies
• Liaise with traders, credit risk management, and other stakeholders
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and ensure accuracy of risk capture
