PREFERRED SKILLS

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Risk Analyst to join our first line of defence team. This role will focus on identifying and assessing risks, managing risk and audit items, enhancing the control environment, and overseeing the Operation Risk SteerCo. The ideal candidate will collaborate across business units, ensure risk management standards are met, and support a culture of proactive risk identification and control enhancement.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Risk Identification & Assessment:
- Identify and assess risks within the business processes to address potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and evaluate risks specific to operational activities.
- Archer & Audit Item Management:
- Track and manage all open risk and audit items within the Archer platform.
- Work closely with risk owners to ensure timely updates and resolution of open items, maintaining an accurate record.
- Provide regular reporting on the status of risk items and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Control Environment Enhancement:
- Identify control gaps within the first line of defence and propose improvements.
- Support the design and implementation of new controls to mitigate identified risks and enhance the control environment.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen preventative measures.
- Operations Risk Steer Co Management:
- Organize and facilitate the Operations Risk Committee meetings, setting agendas, preparing reports, and distributing minutes.
- Drive discussions on key operational risks, control issues, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with committee members to monitor action items and ensure timely follow-up and completion.
- Risk Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare clear, concise reports on risk metrics and control effectiveness for senior management and committee reviews.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to discuss key risks, control issues, and progress on action items.
- Audit Support & Compliance:
- Assist in preparing for audits and examinations by ensuring required documentation and controls are in place.
- Support compliance initiatives to adhere to regulatory and corporate requirements.
