Description Position Summary The Risk and Finance Support Specialist will support the Database Administrator and Risk Manager in the execution of their daily functions within the Finance Department as instructed. This role involves timely, accurate and precise processing to promote data integrity across our financial systems as well as to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory reviews. Requirements Process accurate financial records for operations, including cash receipts, invoices, purchase orders, and reconciliations as necessary. Assist in entering and maintaining detailed records for safety inspections, assessments, and compliance documentation as directed. Verify financial data, correct discrepancies and keep records audit-ready across multiple systems to maintain data integrity. Support preparation of risk and financial reports and uphold confidentiality of sensitive information. Manage key email workflows and ensure timely, accurate information routing. Serve as a first-line support resource for field staff, routing questions, issues, and escalations appropriately. Support volunteer onboarding by coordinating background checks, training requirements, and compliance documentation. Promote and represent the mission and core values of the YMCA of Central Florida. May participate in project work as assigned. Takes on additional Risk, Compliance, and Finance Duties when required and other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years in data entry, accounts receivable or administrative support. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing. Ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs Excellent interpersonal, communications, time management and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and adaptability to learn new programs and systems (Microsoft Access or NetSuite experience a plus) Work Environment & Physical Demands Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and holidays as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The physical activities of this position include: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions. Talking is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, with or without correction. Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on the phone, computer keyboard, and other equipment. The employee must be able to perform light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The employee is required to have close visual acuity, along with the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, extensive reading, or to make general observations of facilities or structures. Must possess auditory and verbal capabilities in order to adequately communicate via phone and in person. The employee is not regularly exposed to substantial adverse environmental conditions.
