AEP is seeking talented and motivated Risk and Reliability Analyst Associate

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain the list of existing/potential risks that need to be analyzed.
  • Assist in gathering, reviewing and documenting internal and external data associated with the identified risks.
  • Assist in documenting the Operating Company risks per the corporate standards.
  • Assist with diagnosis of trouble, mis-operation, or damage of equipment and assist with corrective action to affect repair and prevent recurrence.
  • Assist in the analysis of potential and/or existing risks for the Operating Company.
  • Working with the risk champions and other SME when appropriate.
  • Assist in scrubbing outage data and outage analysis review process.
  • Assist in gathering, reviewing, and reporting reliability performance to Operating Company leadership as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimal travel will be required in this role (5%-10%).
  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders is required.
  • Demonstrated ability of providing work direction and guidance to other employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a project leader and technical expert as required.
  • Must have a firm understanding of the risk evaluation and distribution operations process.
  • Ability to use MS Office products to develop reports and presentations.
  • Experience with a query tool such as Cognos, SAS, Business Objects, SQL, etc. would be a plus.
