Join Guideway, an Australian Financial Services Licensee, and help strengthen our compliance framework while contributing to the development of advanced AI software for the financial-advice industry.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering AFSL compliance, information security assurance, project management and technology governance. You’ll work directly with senior leadership and our development team, with the autonomy to take ownership, solve problems and turn requirements into practical results.
What you’ll do
- Support AFSL compliance: maintain policies and procedures, coordinate compliance monitoring and reviews, support incident and breach assessments, manage corrective actions and prepare governance reporting.
- Drive our ISO 27001 uplift: identify gaps, help establish our Information Security Management System, coordinate risk assessments and control implementation, organise evidence and prepare the business for certification.
- Progress toward SOC 2 Type 1: build on our security framework, document controls, establish recurring evidence collection and coordinate readiness and external assessment.
- Contribute to our AI software: work with developers and financial-advice specialists to define requirements, test workflows, review outcomes and embed compliance, security and governance into the product.
- Manage projects and governance: develop delivery plans, coordinate stakeholders, track risks and dependencies, prepare decisions for leadership and follow actions through to completion.
- Use AI in your everyday work: apply AI tools to research, drafting, analysis, project planning and routine tasks, while checking accuracy and handling business information appropriately.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to arrive with experience in every area this role covers. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, learns quickly and turns unfamiliar requirements into practical results.
You’ll be comfortable working independently: identifying what needs to be done, researching your options, developing a plan and following it through. You’ll also know when to seek specialist advice or escalate a decision.
Confident, practical use of AI is essential. You should already use AI tools to improve your research, analysis, writing and everyday work, while applying your own judgment.
You’ll bring:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear writing and the ability to explain complex issues plainly.
- The organisational skills to manage competing priorities and coordinate others.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail and a willingness to ask useful questions.
- The ability to translate requirements into workable processes, controls and evidence.
- Relevant qualifications are welcome, but demonstrated capability, initiative and delivery experience matter most.
