Job Description We are looking for a Risk & Controls Assurance Analyst to join our Retail Annuities team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the effective management of operational risk, helping to protect the business from potential risks and ensuring strong governance and control frameworks are in place. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders to provide high-quality risk insight, strengthen the control environment, and support the delivery of good customer outcomes. This is a collaborative and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys analysis, problem solving, and making a tangible impact. What you'll be doing: Supporting the development and embedding of risk and governance frameworks across the business Producing and analysing risk management information for senior stakeholders and governance committees Coordinating and delivering reporting in line with regulatory requirements and internal standards Maintaining governance structures, including committees, terms of reference and delegated authorities Overseeing control testing and assurance activity to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement Supporting operational resilience planning and coordinating business continuity testing Monitoring transactional activity and identifying potential risks, trends or unusual patterns Reviewing processes and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment with best practice Who we're looking for: Experience or understanding of risk, controls, audit or compliance within financial services Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce meaningful insights Confidence using Excel and working with data to support reporting and decision-making Ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders at different levels A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement Experience of producing management information or working with KPIs and performance metrics Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective working relationships An understanding of operational risk, governance, or pensions/annuities products is advantageous Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
