Risk Data Analyst
The Merchant Risk Management (MRM) department is part of Worldline’s Second Line Group R2Srisk function, reporting to Head of Group Risk. Its primary responsibility is to oversee the risk management framework governing merchant risk during the merchant lifecycle. The MRM actively contributes to Worldline’s shaping of the company’s Merchant Risk Strategy and Risk Appetite that support a sustainable business growth. The Merchant Risk Management’s mission is to provide leadership and strategic direction in the management of merchant risk across Worldline Group. This must be supported by data driven portfolio analysis, decision making, and portfolio steering, and therefore business intelligence and business analytics must be based on high quality portfolio data.

THE ROLE
Under the responsibility of the Group Head of Merchant Risk, the Risk Data Analyst is responsible to contribute to the design and oversee the establishment of the risk reporting tool used for merchant portfolio reporting and steering. This individual works closely with the Risk Operations Data Science team, as well as with Worldline’s BI team on development and maintenance of the risk data tool. Together, the primary responsibilities are to oversee the risk resulting from the payment transactions of Worldline’s merchants and to provide user-friendly tools reflecting accurate portfolio data. The team strives to turn large amounts of data generated by payment transactions into unique insights, dashboards and KRIs.
At the moment, the team is building out its risk analytics and reporting capabilities using the existing Azure Data Lake, hence the database development and engineering are key area of focus for the coming years. The aim is to improve oversight and provide business insights through state of the art business intelligence and business analytics.
