Description

General Description of Role and Responsibilities Identify and assess risks associated with projects. Maintain the Risk Register and update it regularly. Articulate challenges and issues clearly, addressing them to the Management promptly. Develop comprehensive risk mitigation plans. Provide detailed reports on potential risks and their corresponding responses. Offer advice on the probability and Impact Matrix for each project. Conduct meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify, assess, and evaluate risk issues throughout various phases of the project lifecycle. Formulate and execute a risk management plan for construction projects, delineating processes to mitigate potential risks. Manage tasks related to contract management, procurement, tendering, estimating, and cost analysis. Contribute to handling costs, claims related to cost and time, change order management, and conflict resolution. Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill. Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager / supervisor. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Management from an accredited university. Minimum of 13+ years of experience in Engineering and / or Project Management and in a functional role as Risk Manager on mega projects. Proven experience and skills in identifying problems, evaluating alternatives and finding solutions. Reliability and initiative to succeed without direct supervision. Proven experience and familiarity with commercial risk management practices and procedures, preferably in a similar cutting context. Previous experience in identifying risks (costs / schedule quality / safety). Previous experience maintaining risk management databases (e.g. Active Risk Management program). Previous experience with ERM procedures. Work experience on a global scale (preferably previous work experience in Saudi Arabia). Fluent English and Arabic

Responsibilities

The Risk Engineer is responsible for identifying and assessing risks associated with projects, maintaining the Risk Register, and developing comprehensive risk mitigation plans. They will also conduct meetings with stakeholders to evaluate risk issues throughout the project lifecycle.
