Zurich Insurance Benelux are looking for an experienced Risk Engineer who is able to combine technical expertise with business knowledge to help our customers achieve their risk management objectives in a pragmatic way. As a Risk Engineer at Zurich, you are responsible for understanding, managing, and covering risks. You will be visiting our customers on-site, facilitating risk assessments and presenting your findings to the customer’s management and to our own underwriters. You do all this with commercial flair; constantly keeping your eye out to see which other services we can offer customers. You’re a pro at asking the right questions and listening to hear what their current needs are.

Responsibilities

In this position you will be focusing on our property portfolio. Below you can find a snapshot of what your duties can include:

  • Support our customers by identifying, assessing and advising on risk management issues to reduce the risks that they face individually and on an account basis;
  • Provide appropriate risk improvement advice, conduct loss investigations (including both trend and root cause analysis), and implement risk improvement programs;
  • Develop and maintain positive customer and business partner relationships, collaborate with both to develop appropriate service plans;
  • Resolve technical issues, problems and projects in reference to policies and procedures within a specific function or unit;
  • Write up reports based on your findings during on-site customer visits to present to customer management teams and to share internally with underwriters.
