Risk Governance & Conduct Management Why Join As a Risk Governance & Conduct Management professional at OCBC, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the bank's risk management practices are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and develop and implement effective risk governance and conduct management frameworks. How you succeed To succeed in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk governance and conduct management frameworks, identifying and assessing risks, and collaborating with various stakeholders to mitigate risks. You will also need to stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements, industry trends, and emerging risks to ensure that the bank's risk management practices are always current. What you do Reporting to the Head of Risk Governance and Conduct, you will be part of the team that is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance of the consumer banking business, covering key areas such as risk governance, market conduct requirements and/or cross-border compliance matters. Roles & Responsibilities Actively engage the business to pre-empt potential market conduct risk, establish compliance policies and assist in identifying and implementing measures to mitigate gaps. Advise business partners on compliance matters, participate in projects so that internal processes and controls are robust. Collaborate with business partners to operationalize regulatory requirements in the most effective and efficient manner. Conduct training to new and existing staff on regulatory and operational requirements relating to the sale of investment products. Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders in all lines of defence and deliver training on conduct risk topics to uplift conduct and culture standards. Prepare management reports to update senior management. Who you are Educational and Work Experiences: Degree holders aspiring to develop a career in risk management. Audit, compliance or risk management experience is an added advantage. Technical skills: At least 5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field, preferably in the banking or finance industry (retail bank sector) Good understanding of retail banking products and services. Good knowledge of regulations governing the sale of investment products to customers (e.g. Financial Advisers Act, Securities and Futures Act, MAS Fair Dealing Guidelines and the regulatory changes arising from the Financial Advisory Industry Review). Strong knowledge in using Microsoft Office - e.g., PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI. Personal Traits: Good communication and inter-personal skills, with experience of dealing with stakeholders across levels Good problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make good decisions.
