JOB SUMMARY:

Provides administrative, analytical, and operational support for the organization’s risk management program, including coordination of insurance administration, committee operations, risk reporting, and education initiatives. Works closely with internal stakeholders, brokers, and consultants to ensure smooth execution of risk and insurance processes.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, or related field preferred.
2+ years of prior administrative, paralegal, or coordination experience in a healthcare, corporate, or insurance setting is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Risk Management Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minutes, and tracking of action plans.
  • Prepare periodic reports for senior leadership, Audit Committee, and other governing bodies.
  • Maintain risk management documentation, tracking systems, and databases.
  • Support the preparation of Board, Audit Committee, and Cabinet materials.
  • Track policy binders, endorsements, and certificates of insurance (COIs) for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain exposure data and open items lists for broker follow-up.
  • Coordinate renewal documentation and applications in collaboration with the Risk Management team.
  • Assist with claims documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain insurance-related records, reports, and tracking tools.
  • Process routine insurance requests (e.g., Certificates of Insurance).
  • Compile and distribute monthly deductible reports to Finance and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing insurance-related sections of Audit Committee reports.
  • Maintain logs and dashboards for tracking insurance and risk management metrics.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of educational materials on insurance and risk topics for staff and leadership.
  • Coordinate logistics for staff training sessions on risk management topics.
  • Provide administrative support for special risk management and insurance projects.
  • Monitor timelines and deliverables, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Facilitate communication between internal departments and external partners.
