Description

The Risk Management Analyst/Associate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, monitoring, and documenting key risks related to CME Clearing’s counterparties and exposures.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Monitor markets and counterparties daily; report out on notable news items and how they will impact CME Clearing and its counterparties during weekly risk meetings, and on an ad hoc basis as necessary
  • Leverage financial analysis and industry research to evaluate CME Clearing’s counterparties and exposures
  • Perform daily risk processes to monitor and analyze clearing member trading activity
  • Present analysis and other projects to senior management team or committees
  • Participate in onsite due diligence reviews of CME Clearing’s counterparties
  • Utilize internal credit model, as well as internal and external data and documentation to rate all counterparties and complete credit rating documentation
  • Support adhoc projects and analysis as needed

Skills & Software Requirements:

  • BA or BS in a finance, accounting, business, or quantitative field
  • 1-4 years of credit, finance, accounting or risk management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated professional with ability to prioritize appropriately
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work with a wide range of audiences, including internal teams and external clients
  • Tableau, Google Looker, BigQuery, SQL, Bloomberg experience a plus but not required
