Job Purpose:
As a Risk Management Control Room Operative, you will be responsible for the real-time monitoring, tracking, and response coordination of critical assets using IoT systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring operational continuity, reporting, incident management, and supporting automation initiatives. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- 24/7 Asset Monitoring using IoT platforms and telematics systems to track high-value shipments and fleet movements.
- Incident Detection & Escalation: Identify and respond to anomalies, route deviations, or alerts. Escalate incidents based on defined protocols.
- Configuration & Deployment: Support the configuration and troubleshooting of IoT tracking devices, sensors, and control interfaces.
- Customer Support: Provide real-time updates to clients and stakeholders, manage inquiries, and deliver exceptional service through multiple communication channels.
- Reporting: Generate accurate and timely reports, including journey summaries, exception logs, risk trend analysis, and KPI metrics.
- Process Automation Support: Assist in the identification and implementation of automation solutions using internal tools, scripts, or dashboards.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure control room SOPs, checklists, and logs are properly maintained. Adhere to data protection and risk compliance requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with IT, logistics, and security teams to ensure system integrity and operational alignment.
Requirements:
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a control room, security operations center (SOC), fleet command center, or similar monitoring environment.
- Hands-on experience with IoT tracking platforms, telematics systems, or GPS-based asset management tools.
- Strong understanding of incident response procedures and real-time risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Experience with automation platforms, workflows, or dashboard configuration is a strong plus.
- Coding/scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL) is an advantage for automation and data analysis tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Risk Management, IT, or related field.
- Experience working in logistics, supply chain security, or transportation sectors.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, IoT device provisioning, and APIs.
