Developer- Risk Management Technology:

Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking to add a Senior Developer to their Risk Management Technology team. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in risk management within a capital markets environment. They should bring a strong mix of Python development skills and domain expertise in market or credit risk. Quant developers will be considered if they are hands-on with Python and understand market and/or credit risk. Candidates must have experience in the financial services industry with knowledge of market risk (VaR, PnL vectors, etc) and/or counterparty credit risk (PFE, PE, etc) domains. Strong Python knowledge with experience developing applications is required.
Responsibilities include:
· Serve as a Senior Application Developer within Risk Management Technology, collaborating closely with business analysts, project managers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
· Develop and implement business requirements using object-oriented programming, scripting, and SQL on Linux and Oracle platforms.
· Conduct initial functional and non-functional testing, verify implementations, and support the delivery of systems/modules to production before user acceptance testing (UAT)

The Risk Management Technology group provides support to global Risk Management in the areas oftechnology and information processing for measuring, quantifying, analyzing, controlling, andreporting Risk exposures for traded securities products.
The position is for a senior application developer who will be part of Technology team supporting theGlobal Risk Management Technology group. The work assignments will include playing a keydeveloper role in major project related work. Projects will include custom development,implementation and integration of vendor products, and enhancement/support of existing on premisesand cloud-based systems.
The Role will involve designing, developing, enhancing, testing and implementing solutions tointegrate with Numerix services for the calculation of PFE and other risk measures for multiplefinancial products by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to teammeetings; troubleshooting issues and resolving production problems along with supporting users bydeveloping documentation and assistance tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Work as a Senior Application Developer in Risk management Technology.
· Work closely with business analysts/project managers/other developers/stakeholders to
· implement business requirements utilizing various programming disciplines on Linux / Oracle
· based platforms including OO, scripting and SQL based development.
· Perform initial tests to cover functional and non-functional requirements before users do
