Your New Role We have a 7-month max-term contract opportunity for a Risk Manager to join the Member Risk team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Risk Manager will have a leadership role in driving priority areas and working cohesively with senior business leaders across the Member domain. This will help ensure the Fund is taking the right amount of risk to deliver on its strategy and that the appropriate business risks, controls and indicators are in place to oversee and monitor the way we work. This is critical to ensuring the Fund has sound risk management foundations as it continues to grow and so a highly capable risk manager is required to drive the work that is needed. Key responsibilities include; Demonstrate leadership both within the Risk team and towards business colleagues by proactively partnering with them to enable a robust approach to risk management. Manage the facilitation of risk reviews and proactively assist with improving the quality of responses, to ensure risks are appropriately reviewed, managed, monitored and integrated with the overall delivery of the risk framework and recorded within the GRC system. Provide clear and comprehensive communication of key operational risk matters to relevant colleagues. Drive the timely management of incidents and breach reporting requirements. Develop and contribute to appropriate risk reporting/dashboards for Senior Management, Advisory Groups, Group Risk and Board Committees. Drive and support in the delivery of the risk and control testing plan for the domain. Engage with auditors as they conduct their audit testing and validate that audit findings are implemented appropriately. What You’ll Need 7 + years’ experience in Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, Internal or External Audit, preferably in the Superannuation industry. Strong working knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks. Highly developed leadership, advisory and influencing skills. Poise and ability to act calmly and ability to professionally handle confidential matters. Commercially astute and the ability to offer pragmatic advice underpinned by sound risk management principles. Ability to develop and maintain high quality interpersonal relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
