Description

A commercial construction company is looking to hire a Risk Manager to join their team! This company has been in business for more than 4 centuries and is very intertwined into the Texas community.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of company insurance, including annual audits, builder’s risk reporting, and project-specific coverage
  • Manage bonding processes for customers and subcontractors, including producing real-time reports, forecasts, and bond closures.
  • Request and process credit references and applications related to insurance and bonding.
  • Oversee the Safety Department’s operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety programs and training initiatives to reduce incidents and promote a culture of safety.
  • Manage all legal claims and disputes; track attorney invoices and associated costs.
  • Review and negotiate customer and subcontractor contracts, including master agreements and bidding documents.
  • Stay current with construction law, including contracts, bonds, and insurance compliance.
  • Conduct subcontractor risk assessments using Compass; evaluate insurance coverage, HUB certificates, and pre-qualification packets.
  • Monitor and maintain subcontractor compliance with insurance requirements; process waivers and exceptions in collaboration with business managers and insurance agents.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for subcontractors and internal teams regarding risk-related issues.
  • Develop strategic risk mitigation plans and tools based on historical data and project trends.
  • Categorize and prioritize risks by source, affected areas, and root causes to proactively reduce potential disruptions.
  • Lead company enrollment in risk management programs.
  • Manage data entry and recordkeeping for insurance, contracts, waivers, and claims.
  • Approve related invoices and ensure alignment with insurance and subcontractor compliance.
