Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the trusted advisor in supporting the business to identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report key finance and strategic risks.
- Provide support to the General Manager to ensure adequate oversight of finance and strategic risk occurs via the development and execution of an agreed workplan and delivery approach for the continuous monitoring of 1st Line’s identification, reporting and escalation of finance and strategic risk related matters to the relevant Business and Functional Unit governance forums.
- Work in close collaboration with the APAC Strategy and FP&A teams to understand strategic risk management activities and help inform management action plans as needed and to provide risk advice as necessary.
- Assist the General Manager in leading the required APAC finance and strategic risk programs of work, including applicable stress and scenario testing.
- Provide necessary risk support and advice on finance and strategic risk regulatory reviews and engagements.
- Working with the APAC Strategy and FP&A teams to develop guidance material and training, to support in the application of the risk and compliance frameworks (as relevant to strategic risk).
- Provide awareness and education in relation to the Risk Management Framework, and associated frameworks, policies, and standards as required.
- Liaise with other Risk and Compliance team members to provide a Line 2 risk view and risk opinion, which is supported by data over incident review and management, control verification, risk mitigation and management, project management, appetite assessment, risk profile overview and the control environment.
IN ADDITION, YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business and Risk Management, CA preferred
- Appropriate knowledge and experience to confidently interact with relevant business leaders and experienced in facilitating risk workshops.
- Experience in presenting to senior management teams to explain and educate in relation to all aspects of the Risk Management Framework, with a particular focus on Finance and Strategic Risk.
- Proven effective management skills with a demonstrated ability to role model the Bupa values at all.
- Experience in uplifting and enhancing risk culture and awareness through education, collaboration, and challenge.
