RISK MANAGEMENT & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT DIRECTOR

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Risk Management/Performance Improvement Director to lead quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance at one of our partnered healthcare facilities. This role ensures alignment with federal, state, and accreditation standards, supports a culture of safety and accountability, and contributes to the delivery of high-quality care.
You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and corporate legal and compliance leaders to manage risk, reduce liability exposure, and drive performance improvement strategies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field
5+ years of experience in a healthcare risk management or compliance role
1+ year in a supervisory or leadership capacity
Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and federal/state regulations
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train, lead, and collaborate across departments
Must pass a criminal background check
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if required for duties

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline
Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or acute care facilities
Prior responsibility for survey prep and performance improvement committee participation
