At Lloyds Bank GmbH, we're on an exciting journey as we further strengthen our risk management framework and prepare for operating under ECB supervision. To support this transformation, we're looking for a Risk Manager to join our Integrated Risk Management (IRM) team. This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional who enjoys combining analytical thinking, regulatory insight and stakeholder engagement. You will play a key role in helping the bank understand, assess and manage its overall risk profile while contributing to strategically important initiatives, including our ICAAP, Recovery Plan and ECB readiness programme.Your tasks:
- Support and enhance key strategic risk management processes, including ICAAP, risk-bearing capacity assessments and the Recovery Plan.
- Maintain and further develop the Bank's Risk Inventory, including the identification and assessment of emerging risks.
- Perform forward-looking risk assessments, stress testing and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of the Bank's risk appetite framework and overall risk profile reporting.
- Produce risk and capital reports, management information and governance materials for senior stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain risk frameworks, policies and methodologies in line with regulatory expectations and best practice.
- Support the Bank's ECB readiness activities and analyse the impact of regulatory developments on risk management processes.
- Build strong relationships across Risk, Finance, Treasury, Product Management and Lloyds Banking Group, while supporting audits and regulatory engagements.
Your knowledge/experience:
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Econometrics or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in banking, financial services, risk management, consulting, audit or a similar environment.
- Good understanding of financial and non-financial risks and their impact on a bank's overall risk profile.
- Experience with risk assessments, risk inventories, risk appetite frameworks or enterprise risk management activities.
- Knowledge of relevant banking regulations, including MaRisk, CRR, CRD, BRRD and ECB/EBA requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
- Experience with data analytics, reporting tools and risk modelling techniques; knowledge of SQL, Python, SAS, BCBS 239 or similar would be advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Good command of German is an advantage.
