Job Description
- To lead Risk Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects.
- To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
- Facilitate and work with a range of companies and stakeholders to identify, assess and prioritise threats, opportunities and issues,
- Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budget or retirement of threat/opportunity,
- Monitor overall risk exposure and assess against the remaining risk budget and timeline,
- Proactively manage the completion of management responses,
- Work with the supply chain to assess contractor responsibility risks and their views on client risks that could impact their ability to deliver,
- Produce and present fit for purpose risk reports, in a timely manner, to support the effective communication of threat & opportunity status and required senior management actions,
- Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency and time risk allowance levels,
- Depending on the role candidates will be expected to demonstrate basic to experienced levels of competence with tools such as @risk, Safran, PRA or similar,
- Present key risk findings to clients including assurance of supply chain risk management performance,
- Familiarity with various project risk software platforms,
- Commission management and
- Risk transformation / service development and delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 5 - 10 years risk management experience, preferably gained within the infrastructure environment
- Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: Project / program risk management, construction, project/cost/schedule management or STEM disciplines.
- Qualifications in Project Risk Management or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- A strong knowledge of Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Assessments (QRSA’s and QRCA’s) and will have used any or all software’s such as Primavera Risk Analysis, @risk and / or Safran,
- Proven industry experience, in infrastructure, construction, engineering or within a management consultancy,
- A working understanding of a developing and implementing integrated risk management solutions across portfolios, programs and projects,
- Risk and Scenario Analysis workshop facilitation,
- Strong understanding of Project Controls methodology and risk management interactions,
- Experience of senior management engagement regarding risk management,
- Proven experience in a risk delivery role on major projects/programmes or large companies,
- IRM risk certified candidates preferred,
