Job Purpose
To develop, implement, and manage the organization’s risk management framework, ensuring project and business risks are proactively identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated to support effective decision-making and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain risk management frameworks, policies, procedures, and methodologies across projects and business operations.
- Lead the identification, assessment, evaluation, and monitoring of strategic, operational, financial, commercial, and project-related risks.
- Establish and maintain project and corporate risk registers, ensuring risks, mitigation actions, owners, and deadlines are clearly documented.
- Facilitate risk workshops and reviews with project teams, senior management, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor key risk indicators and emerging risks and ensure appropriate mitigation and contingency measures are implemented.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to evaluate potential impacts on project cost, schedule, scope, quality, and overall delivery.
- Work closely with Project, Commercial, Finance, Procurement, Technical, and other functions to integrate risk management into planning and decision-making.
- Review project plans, schedules, budgets, contracts, and change proposals to identify potential risk exposure.
- Track implementation and effectiveness of agreed risk mitigation actions and escalate significant or unresolved risks where required.
- Prepare regular risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior and executive management.
- Support project teams in developing contingency plans and recovery strategies for high-impact risks.
- Monitor external factors including regulatory, market, supply chain, and economic developments that may impact projects or business operations.
- Ensure compliance with organizational governance requirements and applicable risk management standards.
- Support internal and external audits and provide required risk management documentation and evidence.
- Promote risk awareness and accountability across the organization through guidance, training, and engagement with stakeholders.
- Continuously review and improve risk management processes, tools, controls, and reporting mechanisms.
