Description

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a dedicated Senior Manager for Risk & Safety in the City Transport sector. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and risk management protocols are effectively implemented and monitored throughout all facets of transport projects, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of our urban development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy for railway operations, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to the safety of passengers, staff, and assets.
  • Ensure all operations and activities comply with relevant safety regulations, including national and international railway safety standards, industry best practices, and legal requirements.
  • Set requirements for investigations into safety incidents or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to reduce the risk of future occurrences.
  • Set requirements for regular safety audits, inspections, and safety assessments on railway infrastructure, rolling stock, and operational procedures to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of emergency response plans, ensuring that staff are prepared for and capable of responding effectively to safety incidents or accidents.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety management, risk management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in railway safety management or railway risk management.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements for railways (e.g., TGA Mandatory Guidance) and safety management systems (e.g., SMS, ISO 45001, RAGAS)
  • Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead collaborative behaviours across multiple business units.
  • Strong understanding of risk management methodologies, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and mitigation technique.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
