Description
Company Description CREATIVITY IS OUR SUPERPOWER. It’s our heritage and it’s also our future. Because we don’t just make toys. We create innovative products and experiences that inspire fans, entertain audiences and develop children through play. Mattel is at its best when every member of our team feels respected, included, and heard—when everyone can show up as themselves and do their best work every day. We value and share an infinite range of ideas and voices that evolve and broaden our perspectives with a reach that extends into all our brands, partners, and suppliers. The Team: Become a key part of Mattel's Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) function, driving supply chain integrity aligned with our long-term global strategy. We are seeking a talented, motivated, and driven individual to focus on the critical area of supply chain compliance risks. Mattel’s GRC program aims to build stakeholder trust and ensure business continuity by embedding risk management, compliance practices, and effective governance throughout our value chain. We implement company-wide standards and continuously improve our due diligence and risk monitoring processes as part of our broader GRC framework. Job Description The Opportunity: As a Supply Chain Compliance Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks across Mattel’s Worldwide Operations and global supply base. Leveraging data analysis, third-party intelligence, and GRC initiatives, you will help ensure that supply chain activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including third-party risk service providers. You will interpret complex risk analytics, communicate insights effectively to diverse stakeholders, and support the development of operational controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with Mattel’s policies and standards. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical rigor, attention to detail, and communication skills, with the ability to manage day-to-day risk monitoring while contributing to strategic improvements. Experience engaging senior-level stakeholders on complex, time-sensitive compliance matters is essential, along with a strong commitment to upholding risk and compliance standards. Open to talents from Malaysia and Singapore. What Your Impact Will Be: Collaborate with Mattel business units, cross-functional teams, third-party risk service providers, and supply chain partners to address compliance risks. Support enhancements to the GRC program and drive measurable process improvements in supply chain compliance risk management. Conduct supply chain compliance risk assessments and due diligence activities, ensuring alignment with the overall GRC framework. Analyze compliance risk data from internal systems, third-party providers, and assessments to identify trends, evaluate impact, assess control effectiveness, and recommend mitigation actions. Manage the intake, review, and initial assessment of data and reports from third-party risk intelligence providers, escalating significant findings as needed. Develop, refine, and manage project management processes for compliance risk initiatives, with a focus on leveraging technology and automation. Build and maintain reporting frameworks for compliance risks, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and audit findings, ensuring integration into broader GRC reporting. Deliver clear, actionable insights to executive leadership to support informed decision-making. Qualifications What We’re Looking For: Minimum 5 years of experience in Governance, Risk Management, Compliance (GRC), Audit, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with a focus on compliance, operational risk, or third-party risk management. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau. Strong understanding of risk management principles and compliance frameworks. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make timely decisions in complex situations, including regulatory interpretation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information. Proven experience engaging and presenting to senior-level stakeholders.
